Jean Jacques Rousseau
Rousseau was a Geneva philosopher, writer, and composers in the 18th century. He influenced the French Revolution and the modern political and educational thought. Rousseau believed in “noble savage”, and that the study of arts and sciences had been bad for mankind, due to the fact it took away from the more natural settings. Also, that the goal of education was righteous living. Rousseau felt that whatever the majority of the people wanted should become law, and against the complete power of the church.
